a visible writing in the night.

or rather, letters that i was unleashing from my mouth (not as in a cartoon bubble, but monuments of molten lava that would finally stand up firm as columns), maybe oracular, but mine all the same, because i pronounced them, proclaimed them, and let them come out.

and the reason you could do that, with no squeamishness, no doubt? 


from now on they would have a function. stand against time, against death.
 

planned, first and foremost? 


yes, death, at an appointed hour, as punishment under the law, death that is scheduled
 

execution.
